FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long do Flaunt extensions last? Can they be reused?
Six to eight months, but they will need to be reinstalled every 8 to 10 weeks (depending on hair growth) to keep them close to the scalp and prevent matting, frizzing and tangling. We recommend you reinstall them up to three times. (More than three reinstallations will cause the tape tab to become excessively bulky as adhesive builds up.) You will need to purchase Flaunt Extension Remover and Flaunt Tape Tabs in order to remove and reinstall the extensions.
How many packs does it take to complete a full head installation?
On average, a full head requires 3-5 packs. Each pack comes with 12 pieces. Depending on the type of transformation and client's natural hair, more or less packs may be needed.
Are Flaunt extensions human hair? Where does it come from?
Yes, Flaunt uses 100% Remy human hair.
What is Remy hair?
Our extensions are 100% Remy human hair, which means that the cuticle is intact and the hair is placed with the cuticle all facing the same direction. This product can be styled at low heat settings, just like regular human hair.
Can you color Flaunt extensions?
You can deposit color down two to three levels. We do not recommend that you lighten the extensions. To create a more platinum blonde, you can apply a toner to color #613 or #25. In the process of applying color, keep all color away from the tape tabs. If you decide to deposit color to create your desired shade, we recommend coloring the extensions prior to installation. Please note, coloring or lifting the extensions voids their warranty.
Can you color hair regrowth?
If regrowth needs to be colored while extensions are in the hair, and there is enough new growth to keep the color off of the tape tabs, we suggest doing a partial retouch along the hairline. However, the best option is to color the regrowth when you are removing and reinstalling the extensions. (Please wait 24 to 48 hours after coloring to reinstall the extensions.) Please note, coloring the extensions voids their warranty.
Is it safe to iron, curl or blow-dry Flaunt extensions?
Normal heat styling is fine, however, do not apply the heat in a concentrated manner directly onto the tape tabs or they may become tacky. Do not use a full-head dryer.
Is it okay to swim, exercise or go in the sauna?
Yes, with a few precautions. In order to prevent the absorption of harmful elements, such as chlorine and minerals, we recommend applying leave-in conditioner prior to swimming. Dirt and sweat causes tangles, so for exercise or sauna, hair should be worn in a ponytail. It’s important to brush before exercising, and brush and shampoo after working out. Exposing extensions to sunscreen may cause discoloration.
What lengths are available?
12"/30 cm
16"/40 cm
20"/50 cm
What products can be used in the hair?
Guests should refrain from applying heavy conditioners at the scalp, touching the tape tabs, and instead apply mid shaft to ends. Remind your guest to rinse longer than usual, preferably in sections, to ensure no product remains in the hair or on the scalp. Avoid products containing alcohol, oil or ethanol directly on tape tabs. For best results, use Awapuhi Wild Ginger® products.
How do I remove Flaunt extensions?
Apply Flaunt Extension Remover to new hair growth. Let it trickle down the hair shaft in between the tape tabs. Let it soak in for five seconds, and then separate the tape tabs. Do not rub the tape tabs. Use the Reinstallation Board to keep the extensions in place for reinstallation.
How many replacement tape tabs come in a pack?
Thirty-six. If you purchase one pack of replacement tabs with each pack of extensions, you will have enough replacement tabs to reinstall the extensions three times.
Do you offer different textures?
Flaunt extensions come with a slight wave. The hair can be worn straight or wavy.
How many colors are offered?
There are 32 shades that can be blended to create countless custom shades. For our current color offerings, please refer to your Flaunt Professional Color Ring.
